![]() When it comes to traveling, I know it can be a burden, because we all struggle on what carry on to take with us when we travel. To be honest, I have never once took a carry on with me when I travel. So I am trying to basically struggling on what kind of carry on to take for when I do decide to take one. So I decided to have fun with this blog post. I hope you guys do to, because in reality we all struggle with certain things. I know I am the expert of struggle. When traveling, we all want the cutest bag as our carry on, but sometimes the budget does not fix, but in this case, I have decided to do something different, if you can't afford these any of these bags, you can always look for something similar, you don't need to buy expensive carrying on unless you are planning on getting a lot of use out them. If not, don't buy expensive. So I have narrow it down to 7 designers that I absolutely love, I may not own their handbags, but hey, I own some of their replicas that I do cherish. When I go searching for a carrying on, I will look at the size and how compartments it has for certain things, because I don't like when everything is together. I like when everything has a place of their own and a place to put everything. When searching for one, I think I will have a hard time, because I am picky on what handbags and carrying on I do have. So I hope this helps you when you all decide what carrying on are for you. Here are some of the designers that I love as a carry on and I hope you can find similar styles to these if you are like me that can't afford them. 1) Louis Vuitton Neverfull Pm Monogram Canvas Shoulder Tote Bag 2) Chanel 2017 Quilted Large Easy Shopping Tote 3) Michael Michael Kors Jet Set Travel Medium Saffiano Tote Bag 4) Céline Luggage Phantom Leather Handbag 5) Balenciaga Classic Gold Velo Bag 6)Marc Jacobs New Logo Fabric Tote Bag As a disclaimer the photos are not mine. I have included the rightful owners who the photos belong to under them, where if you want to you can find the handbags if you like them and want them. please contact me if you don't want your photos posted on my blog, I will gladly not use them. Thank you.
If there anything else you would like to see on the blog, please comment below and I will post it for you. If there anything you would like to know, please comment below. I will gladly answer it for you. xoxo Alexis ![]() When I get ask this question, I am on the feights because I am not sure how to answer this question, except shed some light on what happen to me when I change careers. When I first decided to start my blog back up, it was hard, because I kind of figure out that I didn't have the time to do my blog, then I decided that I can always do my blog at home when I come home from my other job, it will be a hard process, but I wanted to do it, so I kind of figure it would be the best options. So I started to do my pros and cons on the blog and then I put everything in a bowl and shake them up and then pull out one that could be the benefit of doing the blog, So I did. One quote that I wrote down, was you can always find time. So I did, and here I am. But I never really change my career, unless you can say that I switch from fashion designer to fashion journalism. I guess, I did. Dear Alexis I am writing to introduce myself, my name is undecided on my career. Right now I am working as a retailer and I would like to change my career to working in PR. I know that is far fetch and I am willing to work at it. I was wondering how do you know when the time is right to switch careers? -undecided It never to late to switch careers, especially when you know what career you want and also if you know what you want to do. The saying that I follow, is always know what you want and don't switch all the time, if you have a goal you should really stick to it, because that is your working goal, if you want to get into PR, then you should study all the aspect that PR has to offer, and you should know what type of PR you want to get into, because you have fashion, music, beauty, movies, models, and also you books. So you should be able to know what type of PR you want to get into. There is a tip that I can give you, figure out what do you like best, like fashion, music and entertainment. Write everything down and figure out. Best there one thing that I am going to tell you, since you are in retail, this job can help you, especially with the customers parts, because as a PR, you gain clients and you have to talk to a lot of people that you are trying to represent or already representing. So do your research and read everything you can know about PR. To me, PR seem like a fun job to get into and a really fun job to change to. Always stay focus and also be one step ahead of the game. If you applying for colleges, then figure out what type of PR you want to get into first, because you are going to need it, because that what a counselor is going to ask you once you apply and also once you talk to one. You need to know what you want do in PR and whether you want to do PR in fashion, music, books, models, movies and beauty, they made sound like the same, but in reality they are not, because they would want to put you into the right classes and help you achieve your goal. Just focus on your career and try to get internships. If you want to you can always find internships that has fashion, music, movies, models, books, and beauty, they are all type of agencies that deal with that sort of thing and you can figure out after that. once you get a internship and see if you like it or not. If you can't find any look it up online. Online is a pretty big world. If you are not applying to colleges, you can still get work experience, because you still can get internships and also the internet is a pretty big world that is at your feet. Also you can read books at your local library or go to a college and ask the librarian if you can read books on PR and see if you can print some stuff out. It really not that hard, if you put your heart and soul into something that you really want. I decided to do Tuesday Ten a little different this week. I have been getting ask all this questions, and I have decided to do a blog post about them and called it Tuesday Ten. This was a little fun, which I like it. I guess I don't talk about myself the way that I should, or maybe start doing an introduction about myself, so you guys can get to know me. So I decided to redo the about me section and tell you more about me, so you can get to know the editor and the owner of Captivate Style's. So here is the 10 questions that I get ask all the time. 1) How did you became a blogger? I became a blogger, because I could not find a job as a writer or a job in my career field. I love fashion and I love writing and I decided to apply for magazines jobs, but no one called me or ask me to come in for an interview and I decided to start blogging on my own, and here I am. I have been blogging for the past 15 years or more, but I have change names and I have decided to stop for a while then I came back because I miss it. But My blog that I have now is 5 years old, and going on 6 in Dec. Which I love. 2) What is your web hosting? My web hosting is weebly, I have been with them since 2007, and never going to leave, they are the most nicest people that I have been with and communicate with. 3) Will you be doing any interviews from people from the fashion field? I would like to, but with my platform, not many people would take the time or day to let me interview them or work with them. But I would like. 4) Do you have anymore new segments coming? Yes, I have plenty segments coming, they are in the works. I am working on them now, and I can't wait to share them with you. They are going to be something that you guys can benefit from, which I hope you guys will like them. 5) Will you be doing any contest for your blog? I would like to, but I am not sure how many people would enter the contest, because they would be any big brands or anything. So yeah, I would like to. 6) How often do you post on instagram? I barely post on Instagram, because I said before I don't like social media. I never did. I would probably post once a week if I am lucky, but I try to post when I do a blog post, which is kinda hard, because I tend to forget. 7) Are you single or are you married? I am single, well basically I am marry to my work. But over all, I am single. I buy my own things. 8) How often do you get ghost writers on your blog? I don't do ghost writers on my blog, because I don't like having other people doing my work for me. 9) How many times a week do you do your blog? I try to post at least 2 posts per day, Monday to Friday, I will try to do 2 posts per day, which adds up to 10 posts a week, if I am feeling up to it. But overall, 8 posts per week. 10) Will you ever do interviews with Celebrities? I would like to, but they like to be pay for interviews, and I don't know why. Because I have a segment that I would like to do, but I might have to find normal people or maybe Youtubers who would like to be feature on a blog.
This is a very simple question, because we all been there, and I know I have. I may be over my ex, but he not over me. He stills think we are together, but in reality we are not. I was in an on and off again relationship for about 6 years, and it was the type of relationship that I didn't care to be in, because he was a player. He didn't care about me like he should. But with me to get over someone, it takes me a week, or two, and I can just turn it off, because the type of guy he was, it was just easy and I didn't care. He kept promises to me that he didn't keep and finally last year, I said I was done. I couldn't take it anymore, I got sick of the abuse and the negativity that he cause me, telling me that I wouldn't go anywhere with my life and telling me that I couldn't do nothing. When he told me that I just like in shock, because I never thought I would meet someone like that. So after 6 years, I ended it, it was hard. But I just could not take it anymore, the ones that are in a relationships should not have to take the abuse that we get, especially when we hear it at home, work, school or any where. We just need someone that will be there to listen to us when we are feeling down, not negativity.
Dear Alexis, I was wondering if you could tell me how do you know it time to let go of your Ex? I have been with my ex for about 2 1/2 years. We decided to end it and I would like to know how do you know it time to let go? xo broken heart We all come in to relationships with a purpose, but sometimes that purpose don't always play out. The reason why because one of us is not in it anymore or we don't like the way we were treated. It hard getting over an ex, and it takes time. The only thing that I can give you is to let time heal and remember the love you two share. Sometimes when you let time heal, you will want to get back together and realize that the two of you were meant to be together. But to make it easier, let time heal the broken heart you are feeling. Only time can heal the pain you are feeling, and only time can make you get over your ex. Just have fun and be with friends and be yourself. It the only thing you can do, go be friends and surround yourself with love ones and be able to open your heart when you decide you are ready to date again. I know that you have been with your ex for 2 1/2 years, just don't do what I did, get over to quickly, because it catches up to you when you don't want it to. Also don't try to date every girl or guy just to get over your ex, it does not work like that. It takes time, and only time will tell you when you are ready to let go and move on. |
